This 1940’s green military jacket is for the minimalist with a twist. This jacket is known as an “Ike” jacket that the US soldiers wore during WWII to fight the enemy. It’s a boxy men’s wool jacket with a detachable vintage white fur collar and clear rhinestone brooch. There are two patches on each arm of this jacket. Fits like a women’s Medium and there is plenty of room to layer with a sweater. Super flattering.
The Navy and green patch with the “T” represents the 17th Airborne Division, 1st Allied Airborne Army, 14th Air Force (Tiger), and China Burma India (CBI). Patches with “T” are rank insignia for a Technical Sergeant.
The red and white patch is for the US 8th Army, which has been stationed in Korea ever since the Korean War. The American Forces Korea Network broadcasts radio and television services for soldiers stationed in Korea.
